About me

Alessandro is an Investment Partner at M12, where he focuses on investments in AI, deep tech, and next-generation computing platforms.

Prior to joining M12, Alessandro was an Investment Partner at Longview Innovation, an evergreen fund backing early-stage breakthrough science companies. He began his investing career at Prime Movers Lab, a multi-stage deep tech fund ($1b+ AUM), where he invested across robotics, transportation, telecommunications, semiconductors, computing, and climate. During his tenure, he led and supported early- and growth-stage deals with check sizes ranging from $2M to $50M.

Earlier, Alessandro founded and served as CEO of Semplus Corp. in Palo Alto, CA, a deep tech company developing pressure-sensing and display technologies. He raised several million dollars from angel, institutional, and strategic investors, including Daimler Mercedes-Benz, and built deep operating experience across business development, fundraising, partnerships, intellectual property, and operations.

Alessandro is passionate about mentorship and supporting entrepreneurs. He is an active member of the Silicon Valley tech community and has contributed to Plug and Play Tech Center and StartX, Stanford’s founder community. Before Semplus, he was a researcher in Stanford University’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering, where he developed smart organic electronic “skins” for robotics applications.

Alessandro holds a Ph.D. in Innovative Technologies of Information & Communication Engineering and Robotics from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and the Italian Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (May 2026). He is an inventor on four patents spanning human–machine interfaces, manufacturing, and touch-sensing technologies. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, skiing, tennis, golf, soccer, and trading.
